Thoughts on the Hotel:

A quiet place to stay here in busy Kathmandu. Traditional architecture, beautiful atmosphere inside room. Friendly staff and especially a very friendly front desk manager. I 'd like to mention also your farmhouse Our stay there I will never forget. A great place to see the Himalayas appearing in the sky after sunrise.

Your Thoughts and Experiences of Nepal:

We really love everything we have seen: Kathmandu- Nagarkot- Dulikhel- Pokhara- Royal Chitwan NP
Nepal is much more than a trekking country.

Thoughts on the Hotel:

Very quite, peaceful and with gentle service. An oasis in the middle of such a dirty and polluted town! Pity the coming (the way to) to the hotel is so bad and dirty.

Your Thoughts and Experiences of Nepal:

The people, like the land scape, very warm and beautiful - the places to stay (cities, small towns a complete disappointment!

Thoughts on the Hotel:

The reason I came back this year is because of the treatment I received last year. You have a top notch staff that tends to every need. The menu is one of the best esp. the desert "Sikarni". The roof tops are very restful with a cold drink and a book.

Your Thoughts and Experiences of Nepal:

Again! I can't wait to come back.

Thoughts on the Hotel:

I have never felt so welcome at a hotel. The Vajra is not a guest house - it has become my home. My only regret is that Narendra is not here to hug nor Sabine to kiss good bye. Thank you my friends. I will be coming home to Vajra quite soon. Save room 301or 402 for me.

Your Thoughts and Experiences of Nepal:

Beware of falling in love with beautiful Australian photojournalists you met on Kathmandu rooftop restaurants. If you do, head to the himal immediately. If afterwards, you are still in love fly to Australia. Come on, Nepal is my second home, my favorite place on earth. Every time you walk out the door it is not merely an experience but an adventure.

Thoughts on the Hotel:

A most pleasant and comfortable hotel, interesting and attractive architecture. Very nice rooms, very good food, excellent service, beautiful garden, scenic roof top facilities. City within walking distance (Thamel). Very friendly management and staff.

Your Thoughts and Experiences of Nepal:

Most attractive scenery (Annapurna and Everest regions), interesting cultural sights (esp. Patan Museum)(temples, stupas), obious problems of a developing country (poverty), environmental problems (esp pollution in Kathmandu) political issues (Maoists, costs in Nepal, budgetary issues).

Thoughts on the Hotel:

Very Nice, A good place to stay in busy Kathmandu for its quietude. Outstanding service. Friendliness and helpfulness of the staff was every time on very high level. In our opinion, this is one of the best places to stay in Nepal.

Your Thoughts and Experiences of Nepal:

Very beautiful and exciting landscape with many places to spend holidays. Nepal is very safe and most people are very friendly. Except for bad business experience with travel agency (Sisne Rover, Pokhara). We enjoyed our time in Nepal very much.

Thoughts on the Hotel:

Like home, but friendlier. The Vajra manages to combine all the idiosyncrasies of beauty, architecture, landscape, music and theatre into one cultural experience. You also get bed and hot water.

Your Thoughts and Experiences of Nepal:

Like home, Vajra experience beauty, simplicity and culture is the truly looming next to every edge.

Thoughts on the Hotel:

We enjoyed the comforts and convenience of the hotel, the friendly, professional and helpful staff. The location near Swoyambhu and Thamel. We will certainly recommend the Hotel Vajra to our friends with plan a trip to Nepal.

Your Thoughts and Experiences of Nepal:

Visiting Nepal was the travel experience of our lives. We had never before been to South Asia and and were overwhelmed by the beauty of the "Kingdoms" of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Patan. The majesty of the Annapurna range (We visited Tiger Mountain), The Flora and Fauna of the Royal Chitwan National Park as well as the hospitality and generosity of the Nepalis.

Thoughts on the Hotel:

I love the Vajra. The gardens were a haven after a chaotic day in Kathmandu. The staff was friendly and professional and all of our needs were seen to completely and immediately. I would recommend the Vajra to anyone coming to the Mountains of Nepal. I was also surprised that the food was so delicious. And what a splendid way to end the day on the roof top bar. I am hoping to do business in Nepal and will regard the Vajra as my home away from home when ever I come to Kathmandu.

Your Thoughts and Experiences of Nepal:

My daughter had lived in Kathmandu for sometime and has asked for us to visit. Finally we got the courage to come and I am so happy I did. This has been a life changing experience for me that I will never forget. We have seen things which will truly alter the way we see our world from now on. But the thing I will remember the most is the beautiful and kind people of Nepal. In all my travels in my life I have never encountered such kindness and sweetness as has been bestowed upon us by the people of Nepal. Namaste.

Nice and cozy, the green and colorful plants and flowers make our stay a pleasant one. Friendly staff and efficient. I feel very much happy with my stay at Vajra hotel.

Your Thoughts and Experiences of Nepal:

Different country. At beginning I felt it was very dusty, noisy and dirty. After two days I started to enjoying the sprit of Nepal. Marvelous scenic views. The roads should be better, especially near the hotel. The other side of Katmandu is in better shape.

Thoughts on the Hotel:

Good service, peaceful, quite atmosphere, fair prices and spacey rooms.

Your Thoughts and Experiences of Nepal:

It's is my 1st visit to Nepal it is a very beautiful though also poor country. For many people tourism could become a good living. Nepal has great potential. Kathmandu is the center with a concentration of people, pollution, and poverty. Etc. Yet there are enough reasons to return. This trip we went to Mount Everest base camp and kala patter. A next trip will be to other parts in the country.

Thoughts on the Hotel:

Nourishing fresh food of Vajra, consistent over the nine times in 5 years I've stayed here. Gentle warmth-magic permeate entire grounds. A calm respite from city of Kathmandu. The Vajra staff feels more like family as they are always available. Budget Prices for Luxury accommodation.

Thoughts on the Hotel:

For me it is one of the finest Hotels in the valley. Quiet, airy, clean, friendly and not too expensive. The rooms are spacey , the garden is well kept. The Restaurant has turned to better Kitchen. The interior design and decoration is tasteful and simple with its associations of the many cultured environment. The Hotel has much improved over the last twenty years in its charm and services. I shall hopefully be able to visit again.

A lovely country with a great cultural tradition, facing hard times of political, social and economic difficulties. Because of the strength and perseverance of its people it will overcome the present hardships. Wish Nepal a bright and happy future.
