The Great Pagoda Hall has the largest and most beautiful Tibetan ceiling frescos. With its private rooftop terrace and view of the Swayambhunath Stupa, the Great Pagoda Hall is one of the most unforgettable spaces in Asia. Here every Tuesday evening the Kala-Mandap dance troop performs the Trantric Dances of Nepal. The Pagoda Hall is ideal for classical music concerts, art and spiritual events. Our house guests are welcome to use it for yoga, meditation and group meetings. For those who wish to create a truly unforgettable event, the Pagoda Hall and its terrace are also available for private banquets and parties. |

The Naga Theatre is located on the first floor of the Old Wing, has a seating capacity for 110 people. This is the main venue for the annual drama performances of Studio 7's Avant-Garde productions directed by Sabine Lehmann. The Naga Theatre also provides a venue to the October Gallery East with its traditional and contemporary art exhibitions. This special space is also available to rent for different kinds of events. |

STUDIO 7- NAGA THEATRE |

Studio 7 is an International Actor's Ensemble based in Kathmandu, Nepal. It was founded in 1981 and has since performed under the direction of Sabine Lehmann. Studio 7 at present has actors, dancers and musicians from Nepal, India, Tibet, USA and Germany. The performances are in English. Studio 7 has performed plays ranging from Brecht's "Three Penny Opera" to the Life Story and 100,000 Poems of "Milarepa" and episodes from "The Mahabharat". Studio 7's plays choose to reflect the historical as well as the current events of the country, in a style which can be called "Magic Realism". |

The East-West Library is located in the fourth floor of the Old Wind and it contains the basic Tibetan Texts, Sanskrit Texts, Western Scientific and Management works, Literary Works, Atlases, Art Books, and Nepal Ecological Studies. Writers, Artists and Scholars do use our library for their research. |

KALA MANDAP - CULTURAL NEPALI DANCE |

The Classical Dance Performances take place in the Great Pagoda Hall. These Dances provide a very special and authentic taste of the ancient arts of Nepal. Rajendra Shrestha founded Kala-Mandapa in 1981 for the purpose of preserving the traditional performing arts as well as creating contemporary works. An emphasis is placed on conveying an understanding of the historical background and deep philosophical meaning. |
